Mustard Fruits are a tradition in the area around Mantova in the Lombardy region. No mustard fruits are as versatile as Le Tamerici's version of this classic. Single fruits are carefully selected and processed fresh and only in season. They observe exceptional timing and methods that ensure colour and fragrance are conserved without any need for preservatives, additives, thickeners or anti-oxidants. Their unusual process has been developed by Paola Calciolari a former pharmacist and passionit local advocate.
Its measured hot flavour and ideal consistency make it particularly versatile and therefore suitable for all hard and mature cheeses, sausages and meats. Use it as a condiment and experiment with the intense hot fruity flavour like the locals in Mantova.
